Before you activate the product, make sure the system date is set correctly on your PC!

Steps to activate a commercial version of installed Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 for Personal Computer / File Server

Open the Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 application window

1. in the right lower corner of the main application window, click on License:
2. in the License management window, click the button Activate the application with a new license
3. In the Kaspersky Small Office Security 2 Activation Wizard window, please enter the Activation Code (e.g. xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx-xxxxx) into the activation field.

An activation code should be entered from the keyboard in Latin ONLY without any hyphens. The application calculates the number of entered symbols and automatically adds a hyphen where necessary.

Having copied the files the Setup Wizard offers to activate Kaspersky Small Office Security 2. You will be offered the following options of Kaspersky activation:

• Activate commercial version – a 20-digit activation code should be entered (e.g. XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX). Your computer should be connected to the Internet to activate the product. The Setup Wizard will download and install a key file automatically.
• Activate trial version. The Configuration Wizard will download and install a key file which is 30 days valid. Your computer should be connected to the Internet to activate the product. Trial version is fully-functioning, however when a trial period expires the anti-virus databases will not be updated.

If the option Activate trial version is not available, it means the trial version a) was already installed or b) is installed now.

4. After entered, click the Next button. The Activation Wizard will connect with the Kaspersky Lab server.

If an activation code was entered incorrectly the corresponding message will be displayed, and then re-enter the correct Activation Code.

5. Once successfully activated, an information window is displayed with the license type and its expiration date.
6. Click Finish button and Run update for the database signature.
